I want to track through a single cue (i.e. cueonly) interruption in the cue flow, e.g. for a freeze look
I would like to set a look at the top of a scene and then reference it later. If I have a "freeze" for example, I would like to go back to the original look. I would like to modify the look at the top of scene and not have to update every cue to the new value, but rather have it track through the freeze section.
I use presets to do this now, but I create a lot of presets to track that are only relative to one particular scene.
I submitted this question five years ago and then asked the same question again a couple of months ago, so I guess this is something I do a lot. I think what would do the trick is a syntax allowing me to reference another cue such as ch1-10 at Preset Cue 16, making that cue into the equivalent of a preset. I don't know a syntax that would allow tracking. Maybe a "cueonly" option that remembers this cue was recorded cueonly and allows the underlying tracking to track through (as well as trace.) That sounds like it would lead to spurious errors unless the cueonly cue was somehow separated in such a way it was clear.
Of course I can use a preset, but it's a lot of work to create the presets and track them, a different one for each scene or portion thereof.
