Wildcards for Selection in Labels

Hello. 

Here at our venue (and i assume manny others do aswell) we use Presets for Focus+Beam palettes when working with framing Movinglights.

We store Presets for Groups of fixtures and label them with where the lights are pointing/ what the shutters are doing and the Selection for which the preset is stored. This way you can at a glance see what presets are stored for which lights without having to About the preset or putting it in the programmer.

Its not uncommon that we store >100 Presets for a show during tech. With that manny presets labeling (expecially the Selection) gets tedious and repetetive over time. 

Thats why i would find it really helpfull if theres a way to Wildcard your selection (which is already shown when selecting groups) into Labels as to to speed up the process of storing Presets.

    Helpfull in the sense of just keeping my Syntax up to spec because i honestly verry rarely use the Group key.

    But not helpfull in the context of this Feature request. My goal with this request is to make Labeling easier and more enjoyable/ less repetetive.

    Since storing presets and labeling is a huge part of my work during tech i would like it to be less repetetive by automating some stuff 

  • if you want to select all the channels in you preset, you can enter [Group][Preset] 6 [Enter]

    That will select all the Channels that are stored in Preset 6.
