Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • Unleash The LED Pixels!

With the exception of Apex and the 24k Ion, Most consoles have a low output limit when considering pixels. For example, the ION my local theatre just purchased has a 2048 output limit and my Nomad dongle unlocked has a 6144 output limit. Thus a limit...
  • Recall Coordinates

It would be easier to add fixtures if there was a recall function in patch. 4 Coordinates Recall From 5 Or 4 Cooordinates X Y Recall From 5
  • Exclude specific Parameters from from Marking in Fixture Profile Editor

I believe Eos only exempts the Intensity parameter from marking. When a fixture has a secondary intensity parameter (like a Mechanical Shutter, Main Intensity, or Intens 2), Eos treats it as a Non-Intensity Parameter (NIP) and marks it. Proposed Solution...
  • Allow Level to be a Preset

Live Rem Dim Level can accept a preset, allowing different intensities for different fixtures when they rem dim, this functionality should be extended to level. When I at Level a birdie I need a different intensity from when I at Level a 5K or a Lustr...

  • iRFR Macro Buttons

I would love to see a few assignable macro buttons in the iRFR app on the face panel (when on an iPad) to save some keystrokes. Plus the ability to label them. So I could have one for example that does "@ Full RemDim Sneak Enter"
  • PSD Notes for parts

PSD Notes for parts, not just the cue.
  • Flexi-Changing

Not sure why I've never felt the need for this before, but I felt it very strongly today for some reason: Flexi-Changing Only shows values that are CHANGING in a cue, relative to the previous cue. So effectively only showing channels/parameters with...
  • Purge unused/duplicated presets

Mainly for touring/Long sit-down shows where you want a clean, bloat-free showfile. The idea would be you could select a range of record targets and then use a purge softkey to sort through those, deleting unused targets, removing unused channels from...
  • Inhibit fixtures from snapping on

Feature Request, inspired by a discussion which started over here: Inhibiting fixtures from snapping up Apparently I'm not the only one who would like something like this: A feature to inhibit certain fixtures from snapping on suddenly. What several...
