Nomad Dongle lights

 I would like to actually let my students work with a more up to date system than the one we have now. So I purchased the ETCNomade Education package. I have the dongle, the gadget II and the software. The advertising promises that I can use it as a stand alone controller. 

I have plugged it in and installed eos software, 

I've installed the Net

Net3 Concert software

I'm hoping these are things I should have done as the setup guide is pretty unfathomable for anyone who is not already familiar with the product. 

 It tells me to change my IP Address but doesn't tell me how to get to the page on which I can do that. 

I have no idea what I should be expecting because there is nothing that tells me what I should be expecting. The light on the Dongle is red, should it be red or another color.

I've attached the gadget II to both the DMX cable (that is normally connected to my Smartfade 24/48 so I know it works) 

at this point I would expect some indication that I'm moving in the right direction.

The dongle should be red. 

The gadget plugs into USB and then gives a DMX output to the rig.

So all you need is to patch the rig in the software plug in the DMX cable and off you go. 

There are some really great videos on youtube on hoe to use the ETC gear. Look it up.

I have no idea why you are being asked to change your IP address but think it might be the Net3 software.

You don't need that if you are just doing something straight forward as in using a gadget and standard dmx cables.  Its for running networked connected lighting and even then you dont need it for a standarf artnet/sACN setup
