“Shift” key recordable in a macro

shift as such is never recordable into a macro, but the resulting command lines are. like Shift+Clear doesn't record Shift and Clear into the macro but the resulting command Clear_Cmdline. since Shift+Escape doesn't result in a command line you can't get it in a macro. i know this clarification is of little use but i thought it's important to know why.

There are a few threads on here regarding password protection at startup :) I'd suggest finding one of them and adding a +1. ETC checks these forums often and includes user feedback on big ticket items in their releases often.
