“Shift” key recordable in a macro

Specifically, I want to be able to make a startup macro that immediately locks out the board so that the only people who can operate it are the ones who know that.

Thoughts? Cons?

  • shift as such is never recordable into a macro, but the resulting command lines are. like Shift+Clear doesn't record Shift and Clear into the macro but the resulting command Clear_Cmdline. since Shift+Escape doesn't result in a command line you can't get it in a macro. i know this clarification is of little use but i thought it's important to know why.
