Per manual 17.9.5 Adjusting Chase Rate with Tap Sync:
"To adjust the rate of a chase using Tap Sync, hold down the Choose key of the master the chase is attached to, while pressing the master's Go key repeatedly to the required beat. Hog 4 OS will learn the speed of the chase from you, in a minimum of two beats; after this, you can release the Choose key."
Yes!Thanks for the Quick reply. This chapter talks for the master choose and go buttons but I was talking about to do the same thing with the main buttons. In my case I have a virtual Playback bar which you can activate in setup: ctrl:wings. To control this extra playback bar I use the main buttons of my hoglet console. So I ve record three cues to a list and hit the button is a chase.Moved it to the extra blayback Bar but when I hold choose and tap play button on the main buttons it just fire the next cue of this chase. Is it possible somehow to tap the bpm of a chase on a virtual playback bar ?
With the main playback buttons, no, you can not do tap Sync.
You can, however, hold your finger on the playback bar on screen, which is essentially the same as pressing "choose" then you can spin your playback encoder, its not the same as tap sync per say, but its a way to change your playback rate easily without having to put it on a fader.
Thank you for your answer,Very helpful option but In my case it would never be a chase as instant as taping it for live bands show where you don’t know what is gonna be next.If you have a better way please let me know Also It’s good idea to request ”Main Tap BPM” at the Hog 4 Requests and Enhancements or there is a specific reason why this is unavailable? Cheers
Awesome thank you for everything.I already have pages and butches in my show but you inspired me in a Different, more creative way. Also if HES could accomplish this request it would be ideal. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
I'm pretty sure it's OK to say this, since we've been widely showing it at trade shows and even posted videos on social media about it too... Keep your eye out for the next software release, as there's a new feature in that which will help what you want to do here.
