from an insight3 - "*warning* submaster cannot be inhibited"

Which Sub are you trying to inhibit?

First I tried to change submaster 21 of the 108 faders to inhibitive because it had the intensity control of lamps with I-Q's on it.  Keep one from noticing the swoop is sort of the orignal notion.  This error was produced.  Next tried to build the same thing from scratch on an empty sub, number 37; same result.  I then tried several other subs, and several other tactics, including word for word from the manual.  Everytime the same thing

press [TYPE] + [2] = *warning* can't inhibit submaster

Is there possibly a default setting that's tripping me up?

According to the Insight 2x manual,and I believe this is true for III's, only Subs 73 thru 108 can be set to Inhibitive.\

I was going to say the same thing Steve did - only the bottom row of subs can be set to inhibitive on an Insight console (you can tell which ones because they have the red LED as well as the green one).

Yeah an interesting question to be answered. Have you read the manual ?

Also, it's highly unlikely one would ever want/need more inhibitive subs than additive ones.

I understand the red LEDS. I thought maybe there was a reason why it was limited to the bottom row. Im use to an ION so it threw me for awhile trying to figure that one out!
