sub master

hi.

i am having a show that run in different places in the show i got
10x mac700
and 24 dimmer channel.

the problem is that in each place i have to use different level for the dim channel. it depend on the stage size and if it is an indoor or outdoor show

the whoelhog2 doesn't have a sub master and i can't use the master level because it effect on the mac700 output level.

so..... i have to go to each cue (and i have 160 cues) and adjust the dim level !!!
is does anyone have an idea to "fix" that problem ?!?

  • You're misunderstanding how "reduce to %" works. It's a proportional patch, so it will reduce the output level for that fixture proportionally, just like pulling down the grand master.

Example: Write a cue with 1@FL, 2@80 and 3@50. Your dimmers will exactly match those levels when you play the cue.

Then, in the patch window, do 1 THRU 3 [Reduce to %] 50

If you play the same cue, you'll find that every dimmer is half what it would normally be. So, the outputs will be 1@50, 2@40 and 3@25.
