Is the fact that the timecode toolbar cannot be recorded into a view a bug or a feature of the console? In my application we use timecode every day and I really like to be able to see the clock running so I'm sure that the desk is recieving code.
For DCA's version, we built a "monitor" view which brings up the cuelist. In the SOG, they are instructed to hit the MONITOR view and press "view timecode."
Ted you can use a start up Macro to recall the time code toolbar every time you start the desk. Go to preferences, misc, startup macro and use this comment macro: "OTh1" standing for Open time code toolbar hog 1. If you're using another Net number, change the comment macro accordingly. Hope this helps

That's the way we got around it here.
We did the same thing here, I was just more curious as to the "why" of the situation.

This is great info, Marco, thanks. Still wondering why the timecode toolbar behaves differently from every other window in the console.....
The timecode toolbar is actually not a window. It's a toolbar and like the other toolbars on the console, it is independent of views. I do agree that we should at least perist the stare of the timecode toolbar (including it's position) on log off/on.

The startup macro work around is doing fine for me, but it would be nice if the toolbar did that on it's own.
