Brad, why would you sacrifice the intern superwidget? Comes in handy only if you put network-cable to stage and add 2 artnet-devices, which is more expensive than using the free superwidget. Or do I miss a little trick?
I am a bit confused by your post about sacrificing the internal super widget. The Road Hog Full Boar is capable of outputting a total of 12 universes of DMX. You can get these from USB and/or Art-Net. The internal widget handles the first four universes and then the subsequent eight can be gained with USB widgets or Super widgets. The Art-Net output is the same 12 universes that are possible as with USB. You are never sacrificing any outputs.
yes, I understand. What I thought of: fullboar supports 12 universes: 4 internal+8 external (or 12 external as you mention). If I understand correct, if one uses the 12 artnet-outputs on external devices and don't use the internal superwidget, that's a waiste of money/capacity, that's what I ment. Or are the first 4 universes always controlled by the superwidget, and are only the other 8 free to assign to externals? Or can you use them simultaniously, say as an "active universe splitter"? Questions make sence to you?
