Well...what can I say... I just find this very annoying, cause the wheel used, is the same as in many graphics softwares. The angles (hue values) are not matching to the colors of the wheel and it just feels strange. (You can check that with any graphic software color picker) What happens on stage is a different story and I don't expect the colors in the wheel to represent the colors on stage cause screen color space is far from that and like you said HS systems have their limitations.
