Merging user created fixtures

In general, yes. You should be able to merge a fixture from any show to any show (new or existing).

We've recently fixed a few bugs where certain kinds of file corruption would break merging. This should be resolved in a forthcoming patch. If you have a specific case that isn't working, send your showfile into support and they can help you with it.

Just watch out for the 1023 limit. Sometimes people go nuts and try to merge in everything they can get their hands on. (note that this is a limit of 1024 fixture types, not 1024 fixtures).
