I've had some trouble getting one of the new (Grey) DP 8000's to downgrade to 3.1.9. Has anyone else used one of these yet? Any one else had one of these problems?
The DP8000 with the TFT display (what you're calling the "Grey DP8000") requires software version 3.2.4 or newer.
Older versions don't recognize the new LCD, so you will never see the setup menu (just the scrolling text). If you're in a bind, it may be possible to get 3.1.9 running on the DP, but the front panel display won't work properly. You would have to do all of your setup and configuration from the console and any any troubleshooting would be blind.
We did seem to get it running on 3.1.9. This is an old iPC and it still has one show in Hog 2 format. Glad we could make it work for now. I'll just have to sort out getting and older DP 8000.
Have you tried getting the one Hog2 show converted to a Hog3 show? Work with support and they can do the conversion for you. It would open you up to using newer software.
Does anyone have any pictures or specs of the new DP8000? This is the first I've heard about it, and the only one I can find on the HES website is the blue one.
Hi All, I am experiencing the same issue currently.. Am running 3.1.9 as we find it's pretty solid and we have had no probs our mega master show on 3.1.9. But!! we just purchased a Grey DP8 and i am currently trying to make it work. Have done the power down hold 3 buttons thing and as mentioned the display no longer works.. I am still not seing the DP in the network window and only have a flashing hognet light on the DP.. No DP8 appears in any of the usual DP/widget related boxes, or network window or upgrade DP window etc.. And i cant read the display on the DP to see what's happening.. Any ideas where i am going wrong? Its doin my head in.. Its on a RHFB3..
