Good point - re-reading Rodders post, it sounds like he may be hoping to use SmartSoft as a PC/Mac-based lighting controller.

SmartSoft is not a computer-based lighting controller.

SmartSoft has two purposes:

1. Advanced Offline Editor that can optionally connect to a 3rd-party lighting visualisation application.
2. Expanded visual display and online editor when connected to a compatible SmartFade console.

Originally yes i was looking at using it as a stand alone controller.  I am currently running a Smartfade ML so will now look to connect the 2 together and go from there.  The only thing needed now is that third party visualisation software.

Have a look at the Capture Sweden Smartsoft Edition. It will only work with Smartsoft/SmartFade ML, but the price is very competitive.
