Problems with Software update using both SD and USB methods

I'm trying to update the fixture personalities website to make some of our LEDs work better. However, I'm not able to get the Smartfade ML to go into software update mode. I've held down the "Solo" and "Undo" buttons while starting up with no results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave,

To update your SFML fixture library you do not need to put the console into update firmware mode. With the console in normal operating mode, you can load the updated library through patch devices in the Patch menu:

Menu>Patch>Patch Devices>[Load Personalities]

The file needs to be unzipped then loaded onto an SD card. After unzipping the file should be called "perslib.bin"; it needs to keep this file name to be loaded properly into the SFML

Do you mean updating the console firmware to v3 so you can use the new extended library?

Hold down the [Tick] button during power on boots into 'self test' mode to go through the full suite of console self-tests, including loading firmware.
