Colorsource Spot and a zoom lens

Looking to buy Colorsource spots. It is hard to tell if other S4 lenses (like a 15-30 zoom) can be mounted on the Colorsource. One dealer says yes, an other says no.

What about other S4 accessories?

Hello,
Yes, all Source Four lenses and accessories will work on the ColorSource Spot as well as the S4 LED CYC and Fresnel Adapters. The only exception to this is that the 50 degree EDLT lens has a special version for the LED fixtures.

I contacted ETC sales and was told the following:

" The Color Source Spot is a stand-alone engine that only accepts lens tubes so the Zoom lens is out. All other standard Source 4 accessories are good"

So there ya go. No zoom. All else is good. There is some misleading copy at the websites of certain vendors leading one to believe the zomm will work on a Color Source which is why I inquired.

That is incorrect. Zoom lenses will work just fine. All you have to do is remove the barrel to attach them.
