What do you do for repair of your automated lighting? We have 18 X-Spot Extremes, several in need of some sort of repair... just curious what everyone else resorts to.
To be honest, I repair them when I have problems, If you want to post problems, I am sure people could try to help talk you through fixing things. Or of course you could let the company that sold them repair them, I am assuming they are out of warranty... Joshua Wood
What type of company do you work for? Are you in a permanent install, or maybe a rental house?
You basically have 3 options: 1) Send one of your current employees to HES technical training to learn to repair fixtures. 2) Hire someone to repair your fixtures. 3) Find a local dealer or repair shop that you can either bring fixtures to when they need repair or that can come fix them on-site when needed.
What is the best source available to help me understand the power supply in a moving light in order to perform more efficient instrument trouble shooting skills. Thanks Again.

Sounds like a separate post by itself. Would that be lamp power supply, motor power supply, general power or what?
The X-spots have 2 power supplies in them. One for the lamp (big silver thing) then one for the motor power supply. Here is my old e-bay auction that shows pics of all the parts. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEUS%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200088235106&rd=1&rd=1 The square PCB board is the three phase pan/tilt board. And the little rectangular on is the single phase motor driver board. X-spots are an easy fixture to work on. Just post the problems and we can help you out. I own a repair shop and lighting company so i just repair my own gear. Plus it seems like here in houston, you cannot find any company who can actually repair lights except for mine and one other.
