The lens is getting caught on the bezel when focus is at 255. The lens guides do not appear to be bent. Swopping with other bezels doesn't help either. Any thoughts?
if the guides are not bent, there is a good chance the plate that they screw to is bent, Take a close look at that plate. it doesn't take much to cause the bezel and motor to touch. Joshua Wood
[quote=jeeper]check the C-clip on the one of the post that the lens rides on it sounds like its to high. the 250 uses that C-clip to set up the focus when homing
Yup! Without the clip it can go too far and you have a bad day.:D

that can be a good thing!! I ground the Bearing/Housing Assy. and flipped the C-clip to the bottom so that my 250's now hard focus on the fx wheel and added a few cool gobos(the frist ones I tried were from a 575)

never had a prob with tech's. check your lens setting in the menu options...wide norm narw I use the norm setting and they focus fine on the fx wheel, that is what started me on the the path on making the 250's focus work.

I don't understand what you mean by Bearing/Housing Assy. I can't find it on any diagrams either.
UPDATE!! I've been pimpn' a few more studio spot 250s and found and easier and less ......harsh way to make this work. look at pic #1 and you can see the stock mount on the left and the pimped side is on the right. what I did in case you can't tell was get 3 screws 1/2" long and 3 1/4" nuts these are used as spacers and 3 lock washer. in pic 2 you see the lens assy on the unit, note that you can put the "C" clips back on top of the post. In pic #3 you can see how much the lens sticks out with the cover on. The 4 pic is a gobo on the f/x wheel in focus!!
