I think the PSU is the same between the two. The prom should be as well, and they are pretty cheap to get (just don't use HES . . . the part is about $3, if you can load your own image) and the cap is the same. The logic card is listed as two different part numbers - likely the drivers and stuff for the focus and zoom motors isn't on the CX card. At any rate, to get the CL going, it might work better to move the CX parts to it, and go from there. The only thing that could stop you would be the logic card, and since you state that there isn't any evidence if it actually being dead, it might be worth a try . . .
