DL3 Stock content changed.

You should not be able to change the DMX IDs on any of the stock content, as the clips are housed on a separate partition on the HDD that is supposed to be locked out to users.

What Software & XPe version are you running?

You should give support a call @ 1-800-890-8989 to get you sorted out.

That is why I am totally lost with it. I knew you should not be able to change it. The person that did it is no longer around to tell me what happened. When I look at it through CMA all of the content is in alphabetical order and the dmx runs along with that. Thanks for the help, I will call on wednesday when I am back with the DL3 and able to tell which software it is running.

The file that contains all of the DMX addressing information for the content must have become corrupted. The hard drive will have to be replaced as it will need a complete restore and we only allow for partials.

Is this a rental unit?

No, not a rental. It is less than a year old with under 700 hours of use on it. 2 out of the 4 dl3's have been problematic since day one, and this one was the worst. The clip that held the graphic card in the slot was broke which caused the card to slip out (inverted fixture) and freeze up. Every once in a while it reads a USB error int. and will not boot up. Which of course never happened when it was out for repair. The other two have been amazing, not a single issue. I will take it down and send it in for repair... again.
Any idea what could have corrupted it? failing drive? Windows problem? CMA?

Give a call in to the Austin office to discuss this. We'll get you sorted out. If all you have going on now is the hard drive problem, you won't need to send it in.
