Live Video wide screen with dl3

I have a client who wants to play recorded video using dl3 blended over a wide screen. They are trying to decide on a 3 screen or 5 screen. Per the collage layout chart to create content for those configurations, 3 screen content would be 1648 x 472 & 5 screen content would be 2048 x 360. How do I make standard def. 640 x 480 look good spread across 3 or 5 screens. Is it possible?

Thanks!

  • No matter what you do you will never be able to increase the resolution of the source file. You are stuck with 640 x480.

It is kind of like trying to take an mp3 and play it on a well tuned arena sound system.....not going to sound very good.

Depending on the viewing distance to your audience, as well as the projection surface will determine how noticeable the loss of resolution is.

If it is far, and/or you have a rough, uneven, or textured projection surface then it might not look too bad.

    Hope this helps.:)
