Hello. We're contemplating switching from fresnel/scroller combos for our stage color wash, to the fire&ice units. When looking at the distribution numbers listed in the "Application Guide: Designing Color Stage Washes" (ie. "potent performance) you suggest a unit spacing of 2.3m side to side. What is the suggested up/downstage spacing?
Also, reading the foot-candle numbers, the distribution looks very hot-spot/drop-out"y", with values ranging across centre line left to right from a high of 119 fc to a low of 48 fc.
Were you using a secondary lens? Would secondary lenses help to even out the distribution? At the moment we're worried about spending what is a very large amount of money to end up with a very spotty, uneven wash.
We have a fixed grid over the stage at +22'-6" Is there a multiplying factor we can apply to get fc numbers from that throw?
Thanks
