So I need some software to convert .avi to mpeg2. Anyone have any suggestions? I found one software that coast $500!! I don't want to spend that much for a one off. Please, someone help.:trink26:
If PC, High End recommends TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress. The software is about $100 and is very well suited to encode clips for the DL.2/Axon. Information about how to prepare custom content for the servers can be found on our support page here:
you could hire someone to do it. Something like that can go for $50 to $150 an hour. That way you don't have to pay for the software and you can tap the knowledge of those who know codecs.
I have had very good results with the TMPEG Xpress 4.0 software....and as Matt has stated only costs about $100 bucks for a full license, and not hard to figure out.
I just encoded about 6 hours worth of custom content a week or two ago using it with not a single problem.:)
