I think the answer you will get is that there are several hardware devices that can do this for you. The more processing the server must do, the slower you make the server. So why add another feature that may degrade it's performance when you can buy a third party box to do it better than the server can?

Well I know a bit about OpenGl , and as far i know Curved Surface does not take more processing power then keystone .
Processing power it's not a problem at all . ( not if you are using old g4 )

Well I would argue that one of the great things about all these wonderful new digital products is that you don't have to have racks and racks of different components to do different things like this....we are moving away from the big racks of Folsoms and video decks, etc, etc.
Personally I like this change:arms: can I get a "Hallelujah"
And I think curved surface support as an effect option would be great on Catalyst.
I didn't mean to sound pessimistic about the technology. I was stating the reasons the Developer of Catalyst usually gives to this question on his forum.

Problably Developer have to think to CPU like the Old g4 or the first g5 .
The newer Mac Pro does not have any calculation problem at all .
