there are 3 generations of ETCNet. current is Net3. if that's what they have you just have to output multicast sACN to the right universes, while there are different protocols e.g. for configuration, the DMX over Ethernet part is just sACN, no protectionist proprietary stuff.

Thanks, when I do this, Do I need to specify a universe that I am not using or can just see their fixtures? Does this need to be inserted into the fixture window? I haven't seen how to view the fixtures and actually select them. 

that sounds like more of an MA question than an ETC question.

I don't know how MA handles RDM over a network, but ETC gateways do not yet support RDMnet (third party RDM discovery via network) so you won't just be able to "see" the house fixtures via RDM if the house uses ETC gateways.
