ETC Ion to grand ma 3 so I can control the house and stage lights

I am new to lighting and have searched far and wide. Is there a how to on how I can use my grand ma 3 full size and connect to the theater etc net so that I can control their house and stage lights? I understand on where to go on ma 3 and output multicast, but after that I'm lost. I would need a step by step process. appreciate the time.

there are 3 generations of ETCNet. current is Net3. if that's what they have you just have to output multicast sACN to the right universes, while there are different protocols e.g. for configuration, the DMX over Ethernet part is just sACN, no protectionist proprietary stuff.

Thanks, when I do this, Do I need to specify a universe that I am not using or can just see their fixtures? Does this need to be inserted into the fixture window? I haven't seen how to view the fixtures and actually select them.
