I have a Sensor Rack w/ a CEM+ and I'm wondering if I can control dimmer levels via Net3 or do I have to run a DMX signal from a node?
Thanks,
Mike

If you have a wireless router for your system, there's a great web interface for controlling your racks. See page 47 in CEM manual CEM3 v1.5.0 User Manual
Thanks, Tom, but this is a CEM+ and not a CEM3. I'm looking to not have to run a dmx cable to the rack and send the DMX via Net3 through a Cat6 cable. I'm just not sure a CEM+ supports receiving DMX over Net3.
CEM+ supports sACN and EDMX so it can be controlled via an ethernet interface. DMX over Net3 would be a convoluted way to do it.
Okay great, thanks. I think I'm using the wrong terminology.'
If I have an existing GIO console and ethernet network already set up, I can run a cat 6 cable from my existing network switch to the sensor rack, enable sACN or EDMX on the rack, and then I'm all set?
That's pretty much it.
Awesome. Thanks!
Just throwing this in there, depending on the age of your CEM+ the software may be out of date and unable to accept net3. I had 2 SP12s that I added to the system just like you are talking about last year, but I could not, for the life of me get them to connect. Turned out they just needed an update and everything worked out fine.
Good to know. Thanks!

One more thing to add, even if you do have a reasonably up to date version which accepts sACN, you may still need to ensure that the patch is correct within the processor. DMX inputs and sACN inputs can have different patches. I have seen systems installed where the DMX patch has been customised but the sACN patch left as 1 to 1 as the engineer didn't expect sACN ever to be used.
