I am trying to find out if harmonics is a concern in an entirely LED lighting system.
I have not run into issues with harmonics in the past, but it has recently been brought to my attention that it may be a concern. I am currently designing a lighting system for a theatre, and I plan to install 60-70 LED fixtures (CS Spots and Pars). Should I be installing a harmonics mitigating transformer?
Any info that anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
ETC fixtures seem to have pretty good compensation on their power supplies. THD isn't listed in the data sheets but should be available. I do school projects that have 100's of LED fixtures in the halls and class rooms. Less than 10% THD seems to get past the electrical engineers.
