Hi All , i need to access a file in a paradigm system through an ION controller.
Is there a 'how to' or a section in a manual somewhere which outlines this procedure?
Thank you in advance

Hi Brian
I want to change some levels and timing in presets with wall stations.
We were told that we can download the file from the system and then can make changes to the presets. I was under the understandgin that we could do it from the ION is this correct?
Thank you.
Sean
Sean,
In order to make changes to he configuration of your Paradigm System you will need LightDesigner software. This software is only provided to our technicians and end-users that have purchased training on the software. If you are looking for simple changes and do not have LightDesigner, you can actually save your configuration form the system using a USB drive at any of the Paradigm processors. You can then contact the people that installed it for you, or our Technical Services department can make the changes for you and send you back an updated file.
You can contact ETC Technical Service at 608-431-4116
Thanks
You probably don't need Light Designer for this.
Paradigm has "Record Snapshot" functions that are often assigned to buttons by the commissioning engineer.
If the commissioning engineer has configured some buttons to have this Record function, it is trivial:
- However there are several other ways to do this that the commissioning engineer may have chosen instead.
As Paradigm is extremely flexible there are an almost infinite number of ways to offer this functionality!
You should contact the ETC Authorised Service Centre who commissioned the system in the first instance.
They will be able to tell you if there are button(s) for this (perhaps requiring a pincode) or if they have given you some other method for re-recording Presets in your Paradigm system.
If they don't know or can't remember, phone your local ETC technical support.
You'll want to be in front of the Paradigm processor with a USB stick in case we don't have a copy of your config in our records.

Another Option to look into is LocalAccess. There is a web UI built into Paradigm processors. If you connect a computer to the lighting network you can browse into the Processor through your web browser ( typically 10.101.10.101). Via LocalAccess you can make many of the changes you are asking about. A tutorial video is available here.

This is just another method to make these changes on site.
