Tips for those trying to get some light out of the Betopper Pixel BeeEye mover LM0740D

DON'T PANIC.

In the 23 channel mode in the library 20-0-0-2 update the strobe channel Open setting is actually closed. To get continuous light set Strobe to RND maximum. Also the XY speed channel comes up on minimum so head movement is snail pace.

If you want to use it with control of individual pixels set the fixture to 51 Ch but patch it as 23 Ch. Then patch 7 Generic RGBW fixtures immediately following DMX wise to control the individual cells. These will activate when you pull the RGB & W channels to zero using the emitter settings on the main fixture.

  • Just been experimenting with the LM0940D in the 35 channel mode. Checked and double checked the fixture name! Can’t get any light out in that mode until raising Intensity 2 whatever that is. Not too worried,

I'll stick to mode 23 + 7 x RGBY for now. I notice that the fixture hands control to the 'satellites' on an individual colour basis. So if the red on the main fixture is at zero you can get red working on the satellites but not other colours if they are non-zero on the main fixture. Looks like a solution looking for a problem but may find a use for it!
