Hi Jeremy,
RFR Handheld version 0.4 is the boot Loader Version. When the Handheld starts, it will
show briefly the software version, and should be version v1.x or v2.x.
The RFR Handheld current software ist v2.0.8, and the Base Station current software is v2.0.5.
You can install this from your Congo with a USB cable and after having installed the most
current GCE Software which you can find here on our website:
http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_downloads/console/ETC_GCE_Net3Svc_v3.0.2.9.0.18.zip
When this software is installed, it also installs the current softwares for Net3 Products
onto the Congo, so the Congo can be used to update the other products.
Instructions about uodating you can find here on the Releases Notes on our website:
http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_downloads/relnotes/Radio_Focus_Remote_v2.08_RelNote_revB.pdf
Is the RFR Base Station connected via USB to the console, or via Network?
What version of software does the RFR Display have?
If this doesn't help you solve the issue, feel free to contact us again.
thanks!
Jeremy,
Yes there is a newer version of firmware. 2.05 is available through the Gateway Configuraion editor, version 3.02.
You can find this on this page http://www.etcconnect.com/product.downloads.aspx?ID=20095 under the software heading.
Download this program.
Here are the upgrade instructions.
Setting the RFR Base Station to Update Mode While booting, hold down the mode button on the front of the RFR base station until the receive LED is solid green.
Updating Via USB from GCE
Step 1: Select {Update RFR Software via USB} from the {Online} menu in the main menu.
The Update RFR Software via USB window will open.
Step 2: In the Update RFR Software via USB window, select {RFR Base Unit}. Step 4: Left-Click {Ok} to update the software.
GCE auto populates the latest version of firmware it has available.
Step 5: When the update is complete, GCE displays a dialog box prompting you to reboot the RFR.
The steps were misnumbered, there is no step 3!
I hope this helps!
