Congo Jr

We have a Congo JR on our desk which seems to not go past its initial boot sequence.

The front display displays the Congo JR logo but doesn’t do anything after that.

To start with the desk bleeped 3 times, but after I reseated the graphics card, it no longer bleeps, but still fails to boot fully.

Could this be a graphics card fault?? It’s a very old DMS-59 dual monitor card....

I had this happen to me and I called in to ETC support. They had me reset the RAM and it worked great and has ever since.

It’s opening up the console, and then taking the RAM out (looks just like a PC’s RAM) and putting it back in.

I reseated that a few times with the power off...

Three beeps usually indicates a RAM failure (as noted by lidgett) but could also indicate a failure in the graphics card as well. I would recommend opening the console with the power off and reseating both of those components. If it is still misbehaving after doing that, it is likely that you will need to have the console come in for repair.
