Issue with size and scale

I'm trying to set up my venue, but the behavior is very strange when I try to size some objects I wanted to confirm that it's a bug, and not a PICNIC error.

I've created a group for Soft Goods anchored at 0/0/0, and then put my Cyc into that group. When I attempt to resize it, it seems to be applying a scale factor to the number I enter, and I can't seem to find what's causing it.

I'm attaching screenshots of the Hierarchy and Inspector information to illustrate what's happening. I'd appreciate any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong, or if it's a bug I need to report.

Thank you.

  • Hello , I'm having trouble understanding how you got to this state.  I can see in your 3rd screenshot that the X Scale is changing as the width of the Cyc changes, which is normal/expected: the Cyc started as 8'4" wide, then was stretched to 60' wide by applying a scale factor of 7.2.  8'4" x 7.2 = 60' (with rounding)

I'm not sure how the World X went from 0' to -216' - that would imply that the left-hand edge (when using the default Home camera view) is 216' off to the left.  Is that the case for you?  It's also strange that the Y position and Y World don't match.

Would you be willing to post your esf3d file here or email it to me: mattp [at] etcconnect.com so that we can have a look?

    Thanks,
