Inverted Fixtures

This subject has been written up before - the fixture appears in A3D with the yoke down. The answer is to ensure the latest profile has been loaded. I have 6 "Ridgeyard MH 12" on the bars and have load the latest profile during a mfg and search. But the behavior continues. to get these will shoot the beam down in A3D (through the yoke) but on stage the beam is pointing down as it should. The real problem is that trying to point straight down or going through a 0-290 tilt their is a wobble around the straight down position! I have inverted both pan and tilt on the fixtures though not sure if this hinders things. I do not have a lot of MH experience which is probably exacerbated by using el cheapo fixtures. My Bad!

  • Yep, I know that is why I posted. You see if I turn the things upside down (so they look right in Aug3d nothing else works right. The Encoders, The XY map etc. I didn't mention that I have reversed the P and T in heads to get things right! I seem to have a lot of problems synching my Aug3D with everything else so off to look at your suggestions. This is one of those things that 10 minutes with some one who knew this stuff would solve it all. But as mentioned a meeting in Orlando got nixed. Thanks for weighing in there.

As they seem to have managed to get the beams where they want them for Sound of Music I'll research and experiment at home but wont change anything at the theater until the show finishes.
