ETC Nomad Auto Advance

Hi there!

For background, I work for a church that uses an old ETC Nomad (V2.9.1.17 I think) and we are trying to get ProPresenter7 to connect to ETC Nomad over MIDI.

Currently, we have the connection working and I do see that commands are being sent to ETC Nomad and they are even changing to the cue I set the action to. This is honestly great that I can do that because it will make lighting so much easier and require one less person.

With that said, Im trying to figure out how to set the action of an event to either go to the next cue, as if I am pressing spacebar, or finding the current cue and adding one and going to that cue. Currently I have spacebar disabled and trying to press it just ends in a syntax error.

If anyone has info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like im close but also know way to little about the software to even do the basic things lol. Thanks in advance!

  • If you are on a Nomad System there are two ways to enable your Spacebare to hit the next Cue.

    1. Hit the Keys [Alt]+[G] -> that toggels the "Spacebare as Go Enable/Disable"
    2. go into Setup > Device > Face Panel > "Spacebar [Go]" - Slider

    ----
Going to an other Cue has a lot of different ways.
The question is, are you just want to use "GoToCue" or are you looking for a way to load a cue of your choise as the next in line?

On the Nomad System a GoToCue can be with the following Keys [Ctrl]+[G] [Q] 123 [Enter].
That will just go to the Cue in a time that is defined in Setup, and not in the Cue's Timing. Follows/Hangs/Links will not be triggered.

To Load a Cue on to the current Executed Cuelist that the Spacebar triggers, you can use the Keys [Q]123[Cntrl]+[Alt]+[L]

All the Keys are listed in the manual, nearly on the end.
Or you can have a look in Nomad in two different Places.

    1. Open a Virtual Keyboard Tab (Tab7) and use it or have a look in the lower right corner of every Key in the Tab for Keyboard Shortcuts
    2. Click on the "Keyboard" Symbol to open PopUp Keyboar, use it or look at the Shortcuts.

You will learn the Shortcuts in no time. They are very easy to memorise
