Midi Show Control Event not working

I need some help please. I am trying to simulate a Midi event on a Windows 10 PC using Nomad (EOS v3.2.10.36). I have installed LoopBe1 to provide a virtual Midi Tx/Rx connection which Nomad and the Waveform 13 (DAW) can see.

I’ve created a Show Control Event to run Cue 2 when a C (any) is received (above), but nothing happens.

I’m not seeing any entries in the Diagnostics screen.

Can anyone help please in seeing what I haven’t/should have configured for this to work?

TIA. Roger.

  • Managed to get the Midi Note Event working with the setting above. Midi-Ox I changed to have only Midi Ouput.

In Nomad this meant disabling the MSC Transmit, as Cue 2 never completed - saw the timing continuously rolling and never completing. If anyone could explain I'd be grateful.

Thanks everyone for your help. You're stars.

  • Congrats!

Midi Show Control (MSC) sends the information that Cue 2 was fired. All connected MIDI devices that are listening to MSC will then fire their cue 2 as well. Since your MSC Rx (receive) is active, your console is reacting to that as well, essentially creating a feedback loop.

  • Thank you. I thought it might be something like that.

When I set this up 'for real' - i.e. Midi out from our sound desk to Midi In on the Ion, this should not occur as I will not be connecting the Ion Midi Out back to the sound desk?

    TIA.
