Seachanger on Ion defaults to Green

Hi all,

I just began working at a theatre with an Ion console and a few Seachangers. As I don't have extensive experience with either of these, while I have some down time I set them up to get a better understanding.

I also just upgraded the console to 1.9.12, in case that matters.

Every time I bring up the S4 the Seachanger is attached to, it comes up green. I can change the color, but it acts as though green was N/C, so everything has green in it.

I notice that in the channel, it lists Intens and Intens 1 which is consistently at 100, and the hue is at 195 and the saturation at 2 whenever the colors are all at zero.

I'm new to Seachangers, so I could just be making a silly mistake, but I can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

pfalvi

  • As sk8rs_dad said- make sure that you have patched the XG model.  If you have patched a model that has the dimming wheel in the 4th channel, then you will see this behavior.  You will also see the green gets more saturated as you fade the intensity up.

Also -early Seachanger models used 6 DMX channels- later models use only 4 DMX channels.
