Setting up subs w/o NPs? (Ion)

I'm sure this is simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out (or remember it). I've searched the Ion manual.

I'm creating submasters on my Ion with 1 20-channel fader wing. I have two VL1100 TSD's, and I can't seem to set up the subs so that they don't include NP info for the VLs. Even when I was sure I'd done it, later that NP info seemed to creep back into the sub. Weird.

How can I "clean up" the subs so that they don't have the VL NP data in them?

you can clear the unwanted info out of the subs in blind. blind sub #xx chan xx {focus}{color}{beam} @ enter should clear just the focus,color,beam info out. hope this helps

When recording, put {Intensity} before [Record]. For example [5]{Intensity}[Record][Sub][1][Enter].

To clean up, go to Blind Sub, then [5]{All NPs}[At][Enter].

Alternatively you can set a sub-master to be intensity only.

Set the TYPE to I-Master either while recording or later.

As always several ways to get the job done.

I-Master still contains NP data, it just isn't controlled by the fader (but it is by the bump button).

Set look

Record, Sub, XX, Minus (-), Color, Minus, Image, Minus, Position, Minus, Form, Enter.

Quick way to filter out the attributes you don't want in the sub.

Another approach would be to only "touch" the level (not the non-intensity parameters) and then use [Record Only].

Or if you are doing a series of these, you could place a filter on intensity.
