Windows 8 dogglr issue?

tonight i tried to use my PC laptop to run a focus call . . I got it to connect to the Ion (although the network says "limited" under connection) and can watch the console in mirror mode .. but when I step out of mirror mode I can't do anything .. numbers don't even display when I type them in. .

is there a way to tell if the EOS shell is reading the dongle . . . is there a way to tell if the dongle is still valid? (will my dongle work with my new console - I didn't get a new dongle with the new console)

am I missing something?

  • Eos Client dongles don't expire or anything like that, so it's still "valid".

It's probably the dongle driver - try plugging in the dongle when your laptop is connected to the Internet, and asking the computer to search the Internet for the drivers for the dongle.

However, Windows 8 has some rather annoying driver handling, so if it still doesn't work in Client mode after doing that I'd suggest giving ETC a call.
