Unable to import 1.9.11 show files to 2.0

Okay, I have a related problem - I can see my USB show file but can't get it loaded into the Show File Archive on the OLE (Mac 10.6.8)

In the Open menu, my Memorex TravelDrive USB appears below "net" and can be opened to show the show file.  The show file does not appear in the SFA at the top of the Open file (files that had been there from previous shows do appear and can be opened). 

In the Shell > Settings > Maintenance > Restore Show Archives, I have "restored" the file from the USB drive successfully ("1 file successfully processed") but cannot open it in the CIA.  The USB drive and the show file appear in the "Save As" file, the "Open" file, and the "Import > Lightwright" file.  I don't want to Save the running file as the new one, so I haven't tried the "Save As", but clicking on the other choices highlights but does not open or load the desired file.

hm, i don't think i quite understand your problem. in File > Open you can see your USB drive. and then? you click on the USB drive and there is no showfile?

In the subfolders of "Open", the desired file does not appear in "Show File Archives".  I does appear further down the 'Open" folder, in "TravelDrive" (my USB) but will not open.

when you say, it does not open, do you get an error message?

no, it will box the show title in gold but then nothing.

Have you tried renaming the file so it doesn't have the special characters & and ' ?

It looks like it is seeing it as a folder - if you browse in to the flash drive on the Mac (outside of Eos), do you see a .esf file in there? 

Okay, just tried that.  No change in the result, but I get the point.  Shouldn't use that stuff with non-Mac computers.  

There was a folder titled "Jekyll & Hyde '13".  There were .asc and .csv files, but no .esf files.  I pulled out the files, trashed the folder, and renamed the files to get rid of the non-DOS characters (hard to re-train us Mac guys).

Now nothing is available in the TravelDrive under the Open menu.  The carot doesn't activate anything. So no better and maybe worse - I can't see any Jekyll items at all.

hm, asc and csv instead of esf file means that you exported the show but didn't use the save function. or that something happened to the showfile (i.e. it never got there or was damaged at some point). in the Browser > File > Open list, you can only see esf files. if you want to use the asc file, you would have to use File > Import.

ueliriegg - That was it.  I have no idea why it saved properly as an .esf file this time (maybe because I changed the filename as I was saving on the console?) , but now I know what to look for when I save.
