Data key functionality during effects

Programming effects on an Ion. Is there any setting or shortcut to toggle the [Data] key to show values as default and the effect number when you press the key? I am running an effect and would like to watch the levels change instead of seeing that it is simply in an effect and having to stop programming to hold the [Data] key down to watch levels change. Any thoughts?

at the moment this is only possible with a Gio and Eos Ti console, where you can latch the Data key. as far as i know, this should be changed in the near future.

The effect number and the fading level are visible in Channel format.

Pressing [Format] while the channel display tab is selected will change it from table to channel format. If the fading level still isn't displayed press [Data + any category] under the CIA to expand the tombstone.

In 2.0.1, the faidng level and effect number are both dispalyed in table view as well.
