Customize Direct Select Layout on Ion

I have version 1.9. The direct select layout seems like it is not very well laid out. There is a lot of wasted space, particularly when shown above the CIA. Is there any way to zoom the window, change the button sizes, or use more of the touchscreen real estate?

  • Upgrade.to 2.0 and get your choice of Flexi direct selects or magic sheets that let you paint your own layout.

  • I have upgraded to 2.0. The Direct Select layout is not much improved at all on 4:3 monitors. It is still two columns of 5 tiles, with a lot of wasted space. (On the mac it looks better; 3 columns in groups of 5 buttons). Kind of disappointed with this.

I'm sure I can do magic sheets; however, this seems more time consuming to manage simple selects vs. direct selects.

Do they make widescreen touch monitors?

I would vote to make the Direct Select page zoomable, like the cue list display is. Alternately, make the buttons 30% smaller and narrow all the gaps. The buttons are a bit oversized for 19" touch monitors.

Here is how it looks on a touchscreen monitor:
