Show Tonight - Board Possessed by Devil

I have an ION board with the newest software update and in the process of recording new cues, I am having some strange behavior I cannot seem to eradicate.

I have cue 1 as a "blackout" cue but when going to it, another fixture assigned to a submaster comes on.

Additionally, after a certain point in my cue list (say 30) all subsequent cues have changed to reflect cues much further down my list.  Cue 400, for example is a single spot, cue 445.1 is a series of strobes & prism effects but now going from 30 to 55 it picks up the effects from 445.1!

I have absolutely slaughtered the lingo and for that I apologize.  I am a theatre arts teacher with a show tonight, I taught myself the lighting and had a wonderful instructor from Bradfield lighting come in a few weeks back but I am utterly lost.

Please help!

  • If you're ever uncertain of why a light has chosen to stay on, despite your best efforts, Channel [X] [Enter] [About]  is your best friend.  It will show you what the top value targeting your channel is.  In the example below, Channel 1 is held at a level of 75% by Submaster 3.

Other examples of Source are Manual U:1 (you typed it in or brought up a channel fader) or Q 2 (It's recorded into a cue).

"Background" shows you what other cues / lists / subs are targeting that channel at the same time.

    Hope that helps,
