Eos to Element - channel count

Element will only allow 250 or 500 channels depending on which version you have but it is first 250 or 500 channels patched in your show.

Check in Setup> Show>Show Settings that the {Num of Channels} is set higher than the channel number you have patched.  It defaults to the boards channel count.

Also, in v2.0 Element is allowed to use channel numbers up to 5000, but only the first 250 or 500 are output. Prior to 2.0 any channel number above 250 or 500 was removed.

So this will work, but the Element will need to be running v2.0.

Hmm. So with an Element running pre-v2.0 (which is the case with the board in question), even if I only have 60 channels in the show file, any of them with a channel number above 500 (or 250 if it's a lower-spec Element) simply won't load from the file? That's pretty dull :-(.

That is correct.  Prior to v2.0 you can only go up to channel 250 or 500 depending on the channel count of the board.

so if you upgrade the element to v2.0 and delet all channels not in use in your showpatch before putting it into the element, you should just have some patching left...? or..
