Follow/Hang problem

I have an Ion with v2.0.9 software.  I have a cue with a Follow set.  If I get to the cue through the normal progression of cues using the GO function, the Follow works as expected.  However, if I execute the cue by using GOTO CUE the cue executes but the Follow is ignored.  The same is true if I use Hang instead of Follow.

Is this a bug or intended operation?

  • This is expected behaviour.

It allows you to, for example,"cut" into a cue for editing just that cue not the follow on.

In a show situation you could load the cue into the playback controller then hit go. This will execute any follows/hangs as intended.

    [CUE] # [ENTER] [LOAD] [GO]

  • What if I don't want it to do that? I'm using autofollows with delays the way you would use timecode and I want my music director to be able to fire songs with this macro array I have in a magic sheet on an ipad. I need the autofollows to fire when the macro tells it to go to that cue.
