EOS Client Dongle Not Registering.

Hi, I'm setting up my laptop to run as a client for our EOS console, the utility reads the desk as being online but fails to see it when launching the client software. I think the issue maybe with the software not seeing the dongle. When I lunch the utility this is what I am presented with:

This is the same for with and without the dongle connected and I believe it shouldn't be reading 'Offline Shell'. I am running the utility in Administrator mode and the HASP key is recognized in Device Manager with up to date drivers. I also downloaded the sentinel utility from here. But still no luck.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • That "Offline Shell" label in the bottom corner is correct when you have installed the Client software on your laptop.  The Offline Shell has the same options for whether there is a client dongle installed or not.  You will only see the difference between no dongle and a dongle when running the Client software.

Connect your laptop to the network with your console and click on "Eos Family Client."  If this is the first time connecting with your laptop and given that everything is setup correctly, when the application has loaded and click on {TroubleShoot}.  When the console is shown on the right side of the CIA, select it and click on {Change Master}.

When the client software is working with a Client Dongle, it will say USER 1 | Client above the CIA.  If there is no dongle, you can still connect your laptop to the console but it will only run in Mirror Mode.  If you select the Offline button, it will say Offline above the CIA.
