Cannot copy or move effects with 2.0.1

This used to work. Now even the "Move to" softkey in the effects editor gives the erroneous message "Error: No Channels Were Modified". Have to use File:Merge to move effects down the list.

what are you trying? are you in the effect list with [Effect][Effect] and type [Effect] 901 [MoveTo] 1? this works for me.

and where do you get the {MoveTo} softkey?

ah found it. sorry, i tried with a focus effect but the softkey is only there for stepbased and absolute effects, that's why i didn't see it...

Update: The problem is with step effects that have no channels in therm. even though they have steps and timing values I had deleted the channels in patch and not noticed that they were removed from the effects, The effects were imported from an older show and I was trying to move them, rather than delete them. When that didn't work I deleted them, and the new one I created were copy and moveable.

This was easily reproduced in the offline editor.

Thankis for the extra information, I see the defect now. You are right, MoveTo with effects works unless it is a step based effect without any channels in any steps. This is a defect and will be fixed.

RND 0024023: Moving Step based effect with no channels in any steps does not work
