Is it possible to assign a channel to control a previously recorded group on the Ion
Is it possible to assign a channel to control a previously recorded group on the Ion
I've got 3 basic RGB Led units in my rig. I'm running them via channels rather than as fixtures as this is probably the fastest way to create colour washes "on the hoof". Although I have easy control over each individual unit, it would also be quite useful to have control over them as a group. Obviously a sub master would be the best solution, but as I have alluded to in a previous post, I've got my fader wing set to channel mode. I had thought of patching them as a group on one channel, but as an address cannot be controlled by more than one channel I would lose the individual control. It's not a major problem as the % readouts on the fader wing will allow me to match the individual channels accurately, it would just have been marginally quicker if I also had group control.
Its my first time out with an ION after using the Element and Frog desks for small scale studio stuff and I'm basically just experimenting with different ways of setting up the board to suit my way of programming.
Hello,
We store our groups always under the first channel number.
f.e.: The channels 310, 410.510 and 610 always play as a group. So we save "310 +410 +510 +610 record group 310"
so you can control a group with a channel. " group 310"
regards Jörg
