Ion: Timing Disable

I've found the "Timing Disable" softkey on the Ion, but if I use it the same way on the Ion as I would on the Eos, it doesn't appear to do anything. Can someone enlighten me on the correct syntax?

On Eos or Ion, to put the playback in TimingDisable Mode, while holding down the [Fader Controls] Button, press the [Timing Disable] softkey, then press the playbacks [load] button. The same sequence will take the playback out of Timing Disabled mode.

On Eos, you can hold down time [Time Disable] key, and while it is pressed, all Go or Back actions will be Time Disabled. This part currently does not work on Ion.
